On any given night across Australia there are over 105,000 people considered homeless. These are just the ones who we are aware of, with News South Wales having the highest percentage of nearly 41% of all people affected by homelessness in Australia, the Hike For Homeless throughout the Northwest is back once more for 2016.
In addition to running in the hike, Jess Scully from NOWFM’s breakfast program is donating her hair to the cause.
I’ve been growing my hair for the last few years and with great hair (& power) comes great responsibility, I’ve been looking for a cause that I believe in and after participating in the Hike For Homeless last year and getting to know the wonderful work that Moree Area Homelessness Service do for our community, I am shaving it all off for the cause

July 22nd is D-Day with Rachael Smith from Stagg & Co Barber Shop Moree carrying out the chop with a cutthroat shave, til there’s nothing left. It will be happening at the Hike for Homeless Trivia night, tables are still available.
We’re looking to raise $5000 to really help the community within Moree who are affected by homelessness. We are in an exceptionally cold winter this year and every cent we raise will go towards helping those who desperately need some warmth.
